1970 Fender Jazz bass in excellent condition. Sunburst finish, rosewood fingerboard, Tortoiseshell guard. It has had a re-fret, but is otherwise all original, including the case. (The case pocket and neck rest were missing, so we have replaced the neck rest from another case.)
This is a very nice example of a vintage Fender Jazz bass. The finish has a few light scuffs and small dings, mainly around the edges, but is otherwise in great shape. It has a fantastic neck with very little wear. The frets are clean and have plenty of life in them. The headstock is clean.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb, even sound right across the fretboard, it has a straight neck, and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with Ernie Ball round-wound strings. Weight 9 lbs 3.5 oz / 4.19 kg. Serial: 298782. The neck date is barely visible. The pots all date to the 51st week of 1970. Nut Width: 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22 mm.
