1969 Fender Precision Bass, Candy Apple Red

  • Regular price £6,750.00

1969 Fender Precision Bass with a Candy Apple red finish over an Alder body. Exceptional condition and nice and light weighing only 8 lbs 10 oz. It has a maple neck and a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard which has a 7.25" radius with pearl dots. Non original case and metal covers. There was an added ground wire connecting the jack socket to the pots which we removed ( as it wasn't necessary) and we tidied up the solder. Otherwise original and gorgeous looking P-Bass. Supplied with 3-months warranty and 7-day returns policy.

The finish is immaculate aside from some minor wear to the along the edge of the body and some dents just above the serial plate. The Candy Red finish remains vibrant with no fade. It has a straight neck and original frets which are in great shape with minimal wear. All hardware and electronics are in good working order.

This bass has been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with what I believe are Fender flat-wound strings and really great action. The neck stamp is OCT 69 B. Both pots are date stamped 42nd week of 66. The original pickup has black bobbins with no date stamps and original winds. Serial number:257156. Nut width: 41.8 mm, depth at 1st fret 21.7 mm.

Condition Exceptional 9.5/10
