1968 Fender Jazz Bass with a Sunburst finish and a Rosewood fingerboard. It's in excellent + condition. It's missing the metal covers and The pickguard has had a notch cut out of it to improve access to the truss rod, but otherwise original including the case. The finish has only the tiniest of marks and the Sunburst is very vibrant, there is a little lacquer checking on the body neck and headstock but nothing major. The back of the neck is in great shape and has only one small area of wear. The frets are in great shape having been cleaned and dressed by my tech.
This is a superb Jazz bass, great player with a superb tone. All electronics and hardware are in good working order. The pots all date to the 42nd week of 1966, the neck stamp is unreadable. Excellent neck profile that feels really great in the hand. The neck is straight with no dead spots. Fully set up by my technician with a fresh set of strings. Serial: 245178. Weight: 9 lbs 1.5 lbs. Nut width: 37.75 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.25.
