1967 Fender Jazz Bass, Sunburst

Very early 1967 Fender Jazz Bass with a Sunburst finish in excellent condition. Maple neck with a Rosewood fingerboard and White binding. It has a tortoiseshell guard and lollipop tuners. This bass is all original and complete including the case.

This is an excellent bass, nice and light weighing 8lbs 11.5oz with a nice slim neck. It's a great player with a superb even sound right across the fretboard. This bass has tons of tone and the growl is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings with loads of top-end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together.

The body finish has only minimal play wear with a few small scuffs & dings, mainly around the edges of the body. The lacquer on the back of the neck has worn through from frets 3-12 leaving a very smooth feel in the hand. The frets are very clean having been dressed in our workshop and have plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight.

Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of round-wound strings and a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Serial 163838. Weight 8 lbs 11.5. Nut Width 37.85 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.35 mm. The pickups have original winds and handwritten dates (bridge January 11th 1967 / neck Feb 3rd 1967)  The pots are all stamped 66. The neck is stamped Dec 66 A.  3-month warranty included.
