1966 Fender Precision Bass, Sunburst

1966 Fender Precision Bass with a sunburst finish over an Alder body. It has a wide and slim C profile maple neck with a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard which has a 7.25" radius, pearl dots and still retains the slightly narrower frets seen in previous years. All original including the case and metal covers. Supplied with 3-months warranty and 7-day returns policy.

As you can see this bass has a lot play wear to the finish, particularly on the body but this is purely cosmetic and everything remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. The back of the neck also has play-wear and is smooth in the hand. The headstock has a few small scuffs/dings around the edges. It has a straight neck and original frets which are in great shape with minimal wear and have been cleaned and dressed in our workshop. Despite the cosmetic wear this is a fantastic bass to play.

This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a a fresh set of D'Addario Chrome 45-100 flat-wound strings and really great action. The neck dates to Mar 1966. Both pots are date to early 66. The pickup has original winds, the dates are unreadable. Serial number:127121, weight: 8 lbs 13.5 oz. Nut width: 43.5 mm, depth at 1st fret 20.8 mm.
