1966 Fender Precision Bass in very good condition with a Sonic Blue refinish over an Alder body. It has a wide C-profile Maple neck, a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25" radius and pearl dots. It weighs 8 lbs 7.5 oz / 3.84 kg. Serial: 150939. As well as the refinish, the guard and tuners are changed, and it's been refretted. Supplied in a non-original hard case.
This is a fantastic playing and sounding instrument; it has a chunky neck, which is straight and plays smoothly. The frets are in great condition. The finish on the body has a few small scuffs and dings, but nothing major. The back of the neck has plenty of wear through the finish. The headstock is generally clean with only a few small scuffs along the edges. There's also a very small ding on the edge of the rosewood fingerboard between the 15th & 16th fret
This bass has been fully set up with a set of D'Addario Chrome flat-wound strings. The neck date is Apr 66 C. Both pots date to the 17th week of 66. The pickups have original winds - only one date is visible. (8-8-66) All-around fantastic bass. Nut width: 44.4 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.2 mm.
