1964 Fender Jazz Bass, White Sparkle Refinish. Excellent condition. Rosewood fingerboard with clay dots and a tortoise guard with no cracks and only minimal shrinkage. It has a new nut and has been refretted with period-correct size frets. The back pickup has been rewound. Supplied with original white Fender case. The body finish has a few very tiny scuffs around the edges, but is overall very clean. It has a fantastic neck, which has very little wear. The headstock also has a few tiny scuffs. The original sunburst finish remains in the pickup & control cavities.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard. It's been fully set up in our workshop with a set of D'Addario roundwound strings. The truss rod works correctly with plenty of room to move. Weight 9 lbs 5.5 oz / 4.24 kg. Serial L20073. The neck date is Mar 64A, the pots all date to the 50th week of 63. Nut Width 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21 mm.
