Brand new Alleva Coppolo LM5 Deluxe with a stunning goldburst finish. Inspired by 1970's Jazz Basses, it has a northeastern ash body and an all Maple (the rosewood fingerboard on this bass is a custom order). The hard northeastern ash gives that tight low-mid bump, which will cut through in the mix.
Unlike their alder-bodied basses, these ash-bodied LM5s are painted in a polyurethane finish to stay period correct; however, like all Alleva-Coppolo finishes, this bass is painted in a very thin skin so as not to smother the tone and to allow the wood to breathe and get better with age. The neck finish on this one has a satin finish.
As with the LG & RA the LM also includes the bypassable two-band ALLEVA-COPPOLO preamp and custom in-house pickups designed to correctly represent this era of bass building. This bass is shipped in a Protec Contego bass guitar case with Alleva Coppolo branding.
**Please note - From Jimmy Coppolo**
I only used four of the six Badass bridge mounting screws on the bass, just in case whoever buys the bass wants to put a more traditional bridge on it. The badass has a wider bridge plate, and when going to a vintage-style bridge or something like a hipshot, the extra hole will show.
