1965 Gibson SG Special in very good condition with a cherry finish. This one sticks close to the classic 1964 specifications, featuring a wide 1-11/16" nut, nickel hardware, and an older-style neck joint—all hallmarks of the era. It's all original, including the case.
These specials have hot, P-90 pickups on a lightweight mahogany body. There is general play wear, including a few small dings & scuffs around the edges of the body, as well as some lacquer checking. The neck is pretty clean overall with just a few light dings here and there. The top edges of the headstock have some scuffs, but nothing major. The frets are in excellent condition and have plenty of life left in them.
Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of D'Addario Super light, 10-46 strings. Serial number: 300599. Weight: 5 lbs 14.5 oz / 2.67 kg. Nut width of 42.8 mm/ depth at the 1st fret: 21 mm. The pots date to 1965.
