1965 Fender Vibro Champ Blackface in very good condition. The tube chart is coded OE, dating to May of 1965. Serial:A03809. The transformers are coded 606-5-13 (late March) and 606-5-14. (early April) The pots are a mixture of late 64 and early 65. This amp is 110V and comes supplied with a brand new step-down transformer and 30 days warranty
This little Blackface-era Fender amp delivers five watts of pure tube tone through a period correct Jensen special design speaker which has been re-coned. It has a sparkling clean tone which can be pushed into lightly compressed overdrive once the volume is up to 5. It also benefits from Fender's beautiful sounding tremolo circuit. There are few very small scuffs to the tolex and some pitting to the metal faceplate. Recently serviced - a few caps changed and a 3 prong power cord fitted. All new tubes supplied by Ruby Tubes. (The rectifier is Ruby branded whilst the power and preamp tubes are JJ branded)
