1965 Fender Princeton Reverb amplifier in very good + condition. The original Oxford 10" speaker was recently reconed by Tampa Speaker Exchange. The speaker drives 12-15 watts. The amp runs on USA power,110V. It comes with a step-down transformer and new Fender double foot-switch included. The tubes - 1x GB made (possibly Mullard) GZ34 rectifier, a pair of RCA 6V6 power tubes, 2 x Mullard 12AX7, 1 x GE Electric 12AT7, 1 x 7025 (appears to be made by RCA).
The sound is amazing, it has a super warm tone with lush reverb. It's very clean, with no significant scuffs or tears in the tolex or grille cloth. This is the perfect amp for gigging, recording, or just using at home.
The speaker is dated to early 1964. The transformers all date to mid-late 1965. The pots all date to early 65 . Weight: 12.7 kg. Serial number: A08498. The tube chart sticker is stamped with the code OK, dating it to November of 65. The amp was fully serviced on 20/09/19 by Mac Amplification in Leeds and given a clean bill of health. The work done during the service was as follows: Removed ‘Death Cap’ and fitted earth tag. 3 core mains cable fitted. Replace all incorrect value cathode bypass caps. (Previously fitted by a third party unknown). Replace noisy and out of tolerance anode resistors. Clean/lubricate control pots. Clean all valve bases and re-tension contacts. Valves tested. Clean all reverb tank connectors.Tested to spec. 30-day warranty included.
