1965 Fender Bassman 50 in fair-good condition, Serial: A09546. Powered at 110v and supplied with a step-down transformer. Tube chart code OI ( September 1965) The tubes feature a pair of Harma STR-6L6GC, 3x USA made preamp tubes (GE & RCA) and 1 x Chinese made 12ax7. There's been a modification to the circuit and some replaced caps. (see details below) All transformers and pots are original and date to 1965. All the original capacitors are in a bag in the back of the amp.
Fully serviced in August 2019 by Mac Amplification in Leeds. During the service, all smoothing caps were replaced. The power amp section was converted to the earlier Blackface AA864 spec allowing more power. The pre-amp section remains AB165 spec. The death cap was removed and an earth tag fitted, along with a 3-pin power cord. It comes with 30 days warranty and a new step-down transformer.
The tolex has a few scuffs and small tears but nothing significant. The tolex and control panel show a fair amount of wear. It has a big tube sound, great for guitarists. Very versatile, nice sounding amp. It can be used for either Bass or Guitar. Most importantly of all the sound is fantastic.
