Early 1958 Fender Champ-Amp, tweed finish, original 8" speaker, 5F1 circuit, fair condition. Made in Fullerton, California, the tube chart sticker is stamped HB (Feb 1958). Serial # C06349. The power transformer and pots date to 1957 the speaker to early 58. The tweed covering is a little scruffy and has torn off in a few places but the amp itself is in great working condition having been serviced in April 2019.
This is a good example of a late '50s Champ. It's a compact vintage tube amp, only 30cm high, 34cm wide and 18cm deep. These amps are perfect for the studio or any other low volume situation for getting classic tube overdrive tones, they have a snarled sound and break up perfectly. This amp runs at 110V and is supplied with a step-down transformer.
In April 2019 It was serviced in Tampa Florida by Pro Audio Electronics prior to shipment to the UK so it's in fantastic working order with no issues. The service record will be included with the sale. During the service, all the electrolytic caps and the fuse holder were replaced, the death cap was disconnected and 3 pin power chord fitted. It had new rectifier and power tubes fitted. It comes with a 30-day warranty.
