1977 Alembic Series 1 in excellent condition with original DS5 power supply. It also has a new 5-pin cable. This came to us without the commonly found brass truss rod cover, so we made one but have not drilled holes for it so a future owner can decide if they wish to fit it. It comes supplied in a modern case. Otherwise all original. Serial: 77 805. Weight: 10 lbs 13 oz/ 4.9 kg. Nut Width: 43.8 mm. ~Depth at 1st fret: 21.3 mm. Scale length 34". It's been set up in our workshop with a low action and plays beautifully. The frets are in great condition with very little wear and have been dressed in our workshop. There is lacquer checking in the finish but only superficial signs of wear, with very light scuffs and tiny dings around the body and headstock edges and a couple of very small dings on the back of the neck. Overall superb condition.
Mahogany body, Shedua facings ( body & headstock) neck-through-body design with five-piece maple/purple heart neck, unbound rosewood fretboard, oval inlays, and twin heel-adjust truss rods. Original electronics, with neck and bridge pickup volume controls, neck and bridge tone controls with 3-way Q switches, middle position dummy coil, four-way rotary pickup selector switch (with mute position), 5-pin DIN power and stereo audio connector, and 1/4" mono output. The bass includes the offboard DS-5 power supply and preamp, enabling stereo operation. The back of the bass has four small trim pots to control gain and bass for both pickups.
