1972 Fender Mustang, Competition Red  in very good + condition and all original with untouched solder and original case. including the case. 3-month warranty included.

A classic short-scale Fender offset guitar showing normal wear from use and age including finish wear around the edges and a few small dings on the body along with light lacquer checking. The neck and headstock a mostly free of wear aside from a few light scuffs and a cigarette burn above the low E string tuner post. The frets are in excellent condition and have been dressed in our workshop. It plays very well and has a comfortable medium-C neck profile and is a great sounding guitar with the original single-coil pickups delivering a bright and jangly Fender tone with lots of detailed clarity.

This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie ball 10 gauge strings and a low action. The neck stamp is unreadable. Serial 363459. The volume pot dates to the 46th week of 72, the tone pot to the 44th week of 72.  Only one pickup is date stamped ( 1972) Weight 7 lbs 1 oz (with trem arm) . Nut width: 41.3 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.2 mm. Depth at 12th fret: 23.8 mm.
