A classic short-scale Fender offset guitar showing a fair amount of wear from use and age including scuffs and dings on the body neck and headstock as well as missing the tip of the pickguard and a part of the low E tuner post. It plays very well and has a comfortable medium-C neck profile and is a great sounding guitar with the original single-coil pickups delivering a bright and jangly Fender tone with lots of detailed clarity.
This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie ball Super Slinky 9 gauge strings and a low action. There are no breaks or repairs, everything remains structurally sound and the truss rod works correctly. The neck is stamped May 66 B. Serial 155697. Both pots date to the 18th week of 66. Both pickups date to August 66. Weight 7 lbs 1.5 oz. Nut width: 41 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.5 mm.
