Late 1965 (narrow 40mm nut/ chrome hardware/ 65 pot dates) Gibson ES-335 TD, Sunburst. Excellent condition and all original aside from a very good re-fret and the case. The corner/edge of the highest inlay is missing (it suggests the fretboard may have been sanded during the refret). 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy included.
The body features a beautiful sunburst finish with some light lacquer checking but only a few tiny little dings. The back of the neck is very clean with only light wear. There are a few small dings along the edges of the headstock. There are no breaks/cracks or repairs and everything remains structurally sound. The frets are in excellent condition having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop. All hardware & electronics are in excellent working order and the metalwork is still shiny. The binding has yellowed but is all intact. All solder joints are undisturbed and both PAT number pickups sound lovely and are well-balanced. It would appear, from the outside at least, that the pickups are pre T-tops.
This guitar has been fully checked over & set up in our workshop and is an all-round excellent sounding and playing guitar. Set up with a fresh set of D'Addario 10s and a low action allowing for very smooth movement around the fretboard. It has a big rich tone both plugged in and acoustically. Nut width: 40 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21mm. Serial:810676. Weight: 8 lbs. The pots date to 65.
