1989 Music Man Stingray, Blueburst

1989 Music Man Stingray in near mint condition. Blueburst finish with a maple neck and fretboard. Equipped with a 3 band EQ. Nearly all blueburst Stingrays I've seen from this period had a white guard. This one has a black guard and the previous owner said he bought it 2nd hand like this. Aside from a question mark over the pickguard this bass is all original including the case. It comes with 3-months warranty and a 7-day returns policy.

The body finish is almost entirely free of wear aside from a couple of tiny dings on the top edge of the upper bout and some very faint scuffs. There is beutiful figure to the grain along the neck and headstock. The back of the neck and fretboard are immaculate. The headstock has some very faint scuffs along the front/top edge. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The original frets have minimal wear and have been cleaned and polished in our workshop. The truss rod works correctly.

This is an all-round excellent bass, the sound is warm and punchy. It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings and has a great action allowing for superb playability up and down the neck.

The serial number is 29313. Weight: 9 lbs 12.5 oz. Body and neck are dated Sept 1989. The truss rod works as intended with plenty of room to move. Nut Width: 42.2 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.3 mm.
