1979 Gibson RD Artist Bass, serial: 71219070. Black finish, Ebony fretboard, very good condition. Original Moog circuitry and pots are untouched. Other than the strap buttons, some pickguard and back panel screws it's all original including the case. Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of round-wound strings. Weight:11 lbs 13.5 oz. Nut width: 41 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.3 mm. This guitar was made at the Kalamazoo Plant, MI, USA, May 1st, 1979. Production Number: 70.
There are a few minor marks/dings to the body finish and the same to the back of the neck and headstock but overall the finish is good. The neck is straight and the action is set up nice and low. The frets are in great shape with very little wear and the truss rod is fully functional. The headstock has no cracks/repairs. This is a superb bass to play with a great range of tones.
