1976 Gibson Grabber, Black

1976 Gibson Grabber Bass with a Black finish over a Maple body. All original and complete, other than the tone capacitor and one of the control knobs. This bass has a 40mm nut width, which is very slim for a Grabber. It exhibits a fair amount of play wear and dings/scratches to the body and neck. The headstock is relatively clean.

It has Arrow-shaped headstock inspired by the flying V. Contoured body edge vaguely echoes the SG, its offset horns were clearly reminiscent of other popular makes, as was its bolt-on neck (4 bolt). The strings go through the body allowing for greater sustain and this bass definitely has that, along with a superb tone. It has a sliding humbucker giving you tonal options.

This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a low action. Serial: 00183802. Weight: 8lbs 5oz. Nut width 40 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.5 mm. The frets are in good shape having been cleaned and polished by my tech.  It comes in the original hard case. (the black covering has been torn off from the front)

Condition Good 7.75/10
Case OHSC
Weight 8 lbs  5 oz
Serial Number 00183802
