1979 Guild D40, Natural



1979 Guild D40 square shouldered dreadnought in good condition. It has a solid spruce top, mahogany back & sides and a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. There are a couple of replaced bridge pins and its supplied in a non original hard case. The D40 is often referred to as the Bluegrass model and was made famous by Richie Havens at Woodstock in '69. 

There are a number of small dings/marks in the finish on the front, back and sides. There's light wear to the back of the neck and headstock. The neck is straight and the frets are in excellent condition with very little wear. This Beautiful guitar has great tone, with a rich and full bottom end and can take a good hard attack with the typical clarity that you get with Mahogany back and sides. 

 It's been fully checked over in our workshop and set up with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Earthwood Light 11-52 strings and great action. Nut width:43 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.8 mm. Weight: 4lbs 10oz. Serial:201513.
